About
I’m Matt Armstrong, a photographer and storyteller based in Southeast Alaska. I’ve been privileged to live and work on the traditional lands of the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian peoples since August 2014.
Photography has been a part of my life for decades. My mom is an amateur photographer, and I started to learn the craft to avoid being in photos. I’ve had many day jobs - from journalist to tour guide - and in each one I’ve incorporated some aspect of storytelling, whether through photos, videos, writing, or a combination of the three.
If you have a project, or even an idea, get in touch today and we can discuss how best to tell your story. If I can’t help you, I’ll crack open my digital rolodex to connect you with someone who can. After all, I may not be the best, but I am… the Armstrongest.
